I always eat too much.
I always lose control around food.
or I never…
I never keep the weight off.
I can never stick to a diet.
These statements stem from beliefs. What are the beliefs behind those statements.

I am not in control around food. I will always crave xxx. Sugar is my weakness.

When you believe these to be true, it will keep you in the diet binge cycle. If they are true then you can’t truly allow all foods to be neutral and accepted.

Health is a tricky thing because we tell ourselves well I have to control food I am overweight. I have high blood pressure. I have high blood sugar.

Health is more then what you put in your mouth. It is feeling loved. It is experiencing joy. It is finding purpose. It is giving freely to yourself and others. Feeding yourself physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Food is only a part of the equation.

Besides has controlling food worked? Is it keeping you on that “healthy diet plan”?
My guess is no.

Poke holes in the beliefs that hold you back.

Decide to choose a new belief: I am capable of making the best choices for myself in each moment.
Redefine health encompassing all areas of life.

I would even question the idea that you know what to do but you are not doing it because often times all roads lead back to a diet.

There are many lifestyles. Vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, Paleo, and the list goes on.
I can find evidence to support and refute them all. Allow them all in from a mindful, nonjudgmental place so that you can discover what works best for you.
