A diet proposes to solve the problem. Follow this plan and lose the weight. They promise to make it simple to follow. All you need to do is bring your willpower to the table each day. Easy peasy. When you fail you blame yourself. Years of diets gone wrong proves you are the common factor. Through your childhood in there and all the lessons on dieting, restricting, food as a reward, or scarcity with food. When the belief is this is your nature how can anything solve the struggle?

I want your belief and mindset to be so strong and rock solid that your habit with food no longer gives you pleasure. Your needs are met. You are fulfilled. Your body is your home, your temple and you love taking care of her. You have the luxury of living in the now instead of spending it regretting the past or worrying about the future. You learn to truly relish the present and feel how empowered that makes you feel.
The truth is you don’t need years of therapy processing the past in order to move forward. It can happen a lot quicker when you embrace the struggle, gain self awareness, love the past for the lessons it taught, and take self responsibility with love not judgement.
Your problem doesn’t need to be solved. However you can outgrow this problem with love, peace, and calm. You just have to decide to believe there is another way. You are capable and deserve a rich, full life not ruled by food and body bashing.
Wayne Dyer says, “When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.” This could not be more true with the struggle with food and weight. You have done the best you can do up to this point. Chose to drop the belief that this is a lifelong cross to bear.
